About

Miss World South Africa

Pageantry is not only about beautiful faces, an elegant stride and lucrative prizes but it is also about empowering young women with poise, grace, invaluable life skills such as self-discipline, self-confidence, motivation, worldliness and determination to become a generation of well-versed women of whom South Africa would be proud.

Right from when they are shortlisted, the Miss World South Africa participants aged 17 to 27, would be the epitome of empowerment - young women with well-shaped opinions, intellect, awareness as well as a sharp focus on world events. They espouse causes of impact including those inherent in the Miss World motto of Beauty with a Purpose.

We at Carol Bouwer Productions (CBP) are thrilled with the task of finding a young lady who will represent South Africa at the Miss World Pageant and return with the most coveted crown in the world.

CBP’s purpose is to create a space where South African young women feel safe to excel and lead while they celebrate our uniqueness.

We strive to encourage any aspiring young woman to dream big and come out as a winner in our country in October 2023 and at the Miss World finals in December.

As the oldest running international beauty pageant, Miss World was created in July 1951 by Eric Morley in London, United Kingdom. His widow, Julia Morley, now chairs the beauty pageant.

CBP subscribes to Mrs Morley’s vision and the Miss World advocacy of humanitarian issues through ‘Beauty With A Purpose initiatives, spanning a global network of socially relevant programmes in over 140 countries, empowering the reigning queen to embrace her unique individual strengths, identity and passion.
