Renowned for colour and vibrancy, the use of the pink colour for Miss World South Africa’s dress is in keeping with the Sepedi traditional garb which is Claude’s culture. The Bapedi people are well known for their beadwork and rich colours so designer @otiz_seflo wanted to give a modern interpretation of this to the dress. It is common place to use long voluminous dresses in the Bapedi tradition so we have accentuated her hips to reflect this. Miss World South Africa is a modern doctor who is a city slicker but equally proud of her heritage.
